EXPERIENCED Manual Machinist - Lathe, Vertical Mill, Vertical Boring

COMPENSATION: $30-35/HR based on experience plus annual bonus Position Summary: The ideal candidate will have8-10+ years of hands-on experienceoperating manual machines, includingengine lathes, vertical mills, and vertical boring mills. This is a critical role requiring precision, technical skill, and a strong understanding of machining processes for custom and production work. SHIFT: 6am -3pm Mon-Fri Key Responsibilities: • Set up and operate manualengine lathes,vertical mills, andvertical boring mills • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and shop sketches • Perform accurate measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision tools • Maintain tight tolerances on machined components • Select appropriate tooling and speeds/feeds for various materials • Troubleshoot machining issues and ensure high-quality output • Maintain a clean and safe work environment • Collaborate with engineers and team leads on custom and production jobs Qualifications: • Minimum8 years of experienceas a manual machinist • Proficient in machining a wide range of materials (steel, aluminum, stainless, etc.) • Strong understanding of machining techniques and shop mathematics • Excellent blueprint reading and interpretation skills • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks • Must be detail-oriented, reliable, and safety-conscious Preferred Skills: • Experience with large-part machining or heavy industrial components • Welding or fabrication experience is a plus Benefits: • Competitive hourly wage (commensurate with experience) • Health, dental, and vision insurance • 401(k) with company match • Paid holidays and vacation time • Opportunities for advancement • Annual performance bonus Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Schedule: • Day shift Supplemental Pay: • Bonus opportunities Work Location: In person
