Family Medicine Opportunity

Pittsburgh Mercy has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician to join our ambulatory team located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The schedule for this full-time opportunity is Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Essential Functions and Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of the Position:

• Provide direct services through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment of assigned out-patients and Respite residents
• Provide emergency crisis intervention during routine working hours Provide on-call coverage during non-routine hours (as necessary)
• Follow established clinical practice guidelines
• Provide procedural services within the scope of specialty training and clinical competence
• Provide clinical supervision and consultation to treatment teams Provide education to the unit staff about relevant clinical issues in both formal and informal settings Participate in administrative duties as assigned.
• Communicate appropriately, following confidentiality guidelines, with internal and external providers to ensure quality and continuity of care
• Participate in the education of health professions students assigned to site rotations
• Medical record documentation will be in compliance with policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy required
• Pennsylvania Medical License; Board certified or eligible in Family Medicine
• Management of chronic diseases and commonly encountered outpatient acute medical conditions.
• Knowledge and competencies in understanding and collaborating with the regions behavioral health and social service system.
• Comfort providing above services to individuals with severe/persistent mental illness, substance use disorders, and housing instability.
• Valid Drivers' License required.
• Current Clearances (PA Act 33 and 34, Act 114 FBI Check)
• Pre-employment drug screening
