Position Overview

Autodesk is looking for a seasoned finance professional to join our Sales Finance team. This role will partner with the Digital & eCommerce (DEC) Directors in North America, Europe, and Asia to model short and long-range plans for one of the fastest growing business segments in Autodesk and will function as the brain behind both short and long-term business strategy.

The right candidate for this role will demonstrate strong financial modelling skills, sharp business acumen, and the ability to effectively partner across organizations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a high level 5-year model for DEC top line metrics and triangulate the assumptions and results with other finance team to ensure the integrity of companywide long-range planning model
• Drive the annual business planning cycle to develop detailed annual targets for top line metrics
• Build and present Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for sales and finance senior management
• Collaborate with the Finance Directors to provide strategic and operational finance support to the DEC organization
• Build financial models and scenario analysis to help business optimize the growth strategy
• Partner with the Product Management team and Programs team to evaluate the ROIs of different projects, set up metrics to assess the success of renewal incentive programs, etc.
• Create and track the KPIs of various Digital Sales programs such as trial performance or renewal incentives

A typical day in the role

• Financial Modeling - Example: create a financial model to evaluate the effectiveness of different promotion programs.
• Planning - You will own both the short-term and long-term planning model for DEC. Example: working with regional Directors to understand the local performance expectation and incorporating those into the next year targets; building a high level 5-year model to project how Digital Sales will grow.
• Analyzing - You'll be embedded among the DEC organization, partnering to help them analyze the actual performance and diagnose gaps. Example: a question came from the business asking if the flash promotion hurts overall business for the long term - you will look into the actual results during promotion and compare that against the non-promotion period and perform scenario analysis to find the most optimal proposal.
• Driving strategic projects and initiatives - You'll lead cross-functional projects to drive e-Store expansion. Example: act as the voice for finance on a cross functional executive committee and partner with senior leaders from sales and marketing to optimize the channel strategy for Autodesk and drive more business to digital direct over time.

Minimum Qualifications

• You hold a BA/BS degree in finance, accounting or economics. An MBA is preferred
• You have minimum 8 years of finance experience with time spent in investment banking, corporate finance or public accounting, among which at least 3 years were in SAAS industry
• You're a strategic thinker with strong business acumen
• You like to figure out what is the story behind the numbers
• Prioritizing multiple work streams and various constituents is second-nature
• You have a strong command of "the details," but don't get lost in them
• You are a seasoned pro at financial modeling and analysis
• You are a proven executor with prior success driving projects with cross-functional teams
• You are a poised communicator with prior experience advising senior leaders
• You thrive in a team environment and practice confidence without attitude or ego; developing relationships comes naturally
