Financial Accountant

• Preparation of IFRS Compliant Financial Statements & Management accounts on Draftworx
• IFRS 16 contracts management and posting of relevant entries
• Assist with MRS reporting: Early, Normal & Quarterly IGM reporting
• Post Retirement Medical Aid accounting
• Calculation of provisions of month end, quarterly & yearly provisions relating to bad debts, stock, warranty e.t.c
• Balance sheet reconciliations for areas of responsibility and reviewing those performed by Finance Shared Service (FSS)
• Assist with management of Company Taxation matters (Company tax, Dividend Tax, Submission & Closing of Audits)
• Assist with monthly VAT submissions and clearing audits within timelines
• Ensure export control compliance on all foreign payments & monitoring of approvals/applications
• Assit with sustainability reporting for the legal entities
• SAP Concur (for expense claims) controller locally & ensuring postings are done accurately, reclassifications where necessary
• Overseeing the management of company credit cards (issuing, cancellations, usage)
• Assisting with yearend audit preparation files and audit queries
• Contribute to internal control improvements
• Manage Finance Shared Services deliverables to ensure no deviations from SLA
• GL Accounting support to Finance Manager
• Adhoc requests from management

Qualification & Experience

• B Com Accounting degree
• SAICA articles is an added advantage
• Minium 3 years working experience in an Accounting and Reporting environment.
• Experience in multinational company is an added advantage.
