Reasonable proximity (1-hour commute and a 50-Mile radius) to the Elevance Health Norfolk, VA office listed above is required.
This position will take part in Elevance Health's hybrid workforce strategy which includes virtual work and 1-2 days in office per week.
The Financial Accounting Operations Specialist Sr is responsible for performing diverse operational financial and policy activities of a non-routine nature. Responsible for supporting Financial Operations initiatives through the leadership of associates or work functions.
How You Will Make an Impact
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Provides advanced operational and technical expertise to coordinate workflow.
- Responsible for invoicing, reconciling fund statements and special reporting to clients.
- Customer service inquiries, return mail, stop payments and deposits.
- Assures compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Assesses and creates maintained internal controls and tracking reports for reconciliations and analysis.
- Communicates and educates internal and external customers as well as staff on policies and procedures.
- Assists in project and production efforts to include process review and system testing.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a H.S. Diploma and minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
- AA or BA/BS Degree in Accounting preferred.
