Firmware Engineer - Talus RTU
Location: Coventry, UK
About the Role:
Join Schneider Electric's innovative R&D team, where you'll design, build, and validate embedded firmware for Talus RTU, a leading product in industrial automation. This role focuses on developing new functionality, improving quality, and collaborating with a talented team.
What You'll Do:
- Develop embedded firmware for industrial controllers and communication products.
- Create detailed software designs and code based on requirements.
- Test and validate firmware, including creating automated tests.
- Contribute to design reviews and peer code reviews.
- Collaborate with 3rd-party testing teams.
- Occasionally travel across the UK and Ireland.

About You:
- Proficiency in C and/or C++ programming for embedded systems.
- Awareness of Ethernet and cellular communication protocols in industrial applications.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment (e.g., PLCs, pumps, control systems).
- Experience in structured development processes and team collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electronics, Communications, or Software Engineering.
- Proven track record of designing, coding, and testing embedded firmware.
