FP&A Associate

Tomorrow.io’s Finance and Accounting Team supports all teams globally with relevant and timely financial data in order to make informed business decisions. We interact with each team at the Company and provide support across all business units, focused on tracking key metrics to drive our goals forward.

We are looking for a highly motivated, hands-on FP&A Associate who is eager to learn and dive into Finance at a high growth startup.

As a FP&A Associate you will report directly to the Director FP&A. You will be a key member of a lean, yet highly effective, Finance team, handling many areas of the budgeting & reporting  process, and having visibility into all aspects of the business. You will also have the opportunity to work directly with our executive team (eg. Global Controller, CFO, COO, CEO, CSO, et al), and play an important role as we scale our reporting and metrics.

What you will do:

• Build and maintain the Company’s operating plan, both for the current year, but also on a long-term basis.  
• Create rolling forecasts throughout the year based on actual results and new information
• Build and enhance financial models used to forecast and report the Company’s key business metrics
• Ensure compliance with budget controls and systems, and develop new reporting processes to support fast-growing business units
• Create reports and dashboards to highlight trends and variances in key areas, build and maintain reporting cadence to business units and budget owners
• Play an integral role in quarterly financial statement preparation and analysis as well as board reports
• Perform ad hoc analysis or scenario modeling 
• Partner with non-Finance functions (e.g., R&D, Space) to align the operating plan with each function's operational initiatives / deliverables.
• Collaborate with the Accounting Team to ensure that the Company's books & records and financial forecast align with ongoing initiatives.
• Lead the review of key procurement proposals to ensure that such proposals are aligned with the operating plan.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Finance or related discipline
• At least one year of investment banking experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong partnership experience with cross functional teams in a fast paced environment
• Understanding of US GAAP and SaaS revenue recognition standards
• Advanced quantitative skills with a passion for using data to drive better decision-making
• Hands-on approach with attention to detail
• Excel wizard (expert)

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools
• Experience with SalesForce, NetSuite, and/or Adaptive
