We harness the intelligence of nature by creating clean, effective herbal remedies that target the root cause of health imbalances like helping to ease stress, support the gut, strengthen immunity, boost energy, and sharpen mental focus. Our herbal formulas feature traditional herbs from several medicinal modalities including Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), Japanese Kampo, and Western herbalism. We were founded in early 2019 by Shizu Okusa, a serial entrepreneur in the wellness industry and named E&Y’s Entrepreneur of the Year 2021. After leaving an intense finance career, she became inspired to live a more balanced lifestyle and revisit her Japanese roots and passion for herbal medicine. Shizu set out to help others regain their holistic health using traditions she grew up with and ones she learned along the way.

As a Full Stack Developer at Apothékary, you will collaborate closely with our Development, Operations, Fulfillment, and Marketing teams to enhance product scalability and elevate the overall customer experience. Your primary focus will be optimizing and building out new functionality to optimize for conversion on our newly launched website. This role reports into the Director of Digital.

• 5+ years of development experience, preferably using React, TypeScript, Remix/Next.js, and version control systems like GitHub.
• Familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem and headless architecture.
• Strong understanding of UX/UI best practices.
• Proficiency in open source CMS platforms like Sanity.
• Ability to capture data through server-side rendering.
• Skilled in iterative development.
• Thrive in autonomous and deadline-driven environments.
• Collaborative mindset to work across functional teams and achieve project goals.
• Must be a team player, capable of self-organization in a distributed team.
• Open to feedback and celebrates success with teammates.

Requirements

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Shopify Hydrogen
• Experience with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and data layer structure

The role is fully remote. Our team works core hours of 12pm - 6pm ET with the other two hours flexible to your time zone or preference.
