Position Role Type:
OnsiteJoin our Carbon Brake team at Collins Aerospace in Santa Fe Springs, California, as an Entry Level Furnace Deck Operator. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in operating support equipment, ensuring process integrity, and maintaining high-quality standards across all furnace operations. Safety, efficiency, and attention to detail are paramount in this dynamic environment.Shift Schedule: 6:45 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. / 6:45 p.m. to 6:45 a.m.
Shift Rotation: 12-hour shifts; 4 days on, 4 days off. Rotate between morning and night shifts every 2 days.

Shift Differential: $2.75 per hour.What You Will Do:

• Operate a range of support equipment including Overhead Cranes, Forklifts, Vacuums, Scissor Lifts, and Power Tools.
• Conduct furnace readings, rounds, and oversee process flow to maintain optimal operation
• Uphold process integrity and ensure quality standards are met throughout all furnace operations
• Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) regulations and proactively identify and address safety hazards
• Perform equipment preventative maintenance as directed and promptly report any mechanical or safety concerns to supervisors
• Follow standard operating procedures to uphold safety protocols and ensure product quality
• Utilize basic to intermediate computer skills for data entry and process monitoring.
• Acquire knowledge of Collins and customer specifications, finished products, and relevant policies
• Flexibility to perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications You Must Have: Education & Experience:

• HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, and typically 2 years of relevant experience is required
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience
• Basic computer skills are desirable
• Prior experience with forklift and overhead crane is advantageous
