Gallery Sales Associate

Garcia Art Glass is a hand blown glass design and production studio located in the trendy Southdown Arts District in San Antonio, TX. We create one of a kind pieces of art glass ranging from small gifts and decorative pieces sold in our galleries and on line including lighting and chandeliers as well as large scale art installations for hotels and corporations. Celebrating our 27th year in business has never looked so good as we are planning events, gallery promotions and celebrations to commemorate this milestone. We are currently looking for a full time position in Gallery Retail. This position is a base pay plus commission. The candidate selected for this position must be eager to take on many different roles on daily basis. Applicants should have experience in luxury retail sales and social media platforms. The applicant must have a creative nature and passion to learn. The applicant must present themselves in a professional manner in galley dress and feel comfortable working confidently with VIP clientele, walk-in buyers, phone and internet sales. The applicant MUST be able to multitask and move multiple sales projects simultaneously. Organizational skill a must. Requirements and Responsibilities: • The candidate must possess excellent communication skills in face-to-face interactions, on the phone, and via email and through any social media platforms. Applicants must also be able to communicate with professionalism, clarity, charisma and intelligence. Gallery, in person, outside and telephone sales • Expertise in luxury retail sales and closing deals and the drive to sales goals • The applicant should have a positive upbeat attitude with an eagerness to sell. • Organizational skills are required, attention to detail and the ability to multitask are also required • Ability to work in a team atmosphere and to be thinking of the good of all • Applicant would need the ability to handle multiple sales projects simultaneously • Ability to prioritize a number of different objectives and complete them in a timely manner. • Computer and writing skills are required including IOS, Google Docs and POS systems, Canva, • Have an eye to create a stunning visual presentation, glass merchandizing and have knowledge of color stories. Cleanliness of gallery and work environment are a must. • Eagerness to research sales leads and ability to close a sale in every opportunity • Maintenance of client relations and follow up. • Shipping and handling including larger crate shipments. Online Sales • Assist in processing on-line sales in order to put client order into production • Assist on website management with constant product updates • Assist in strategic business development of promotions for social and mail chimp More details We offer a creative work environment with opportunity for growth for the right candidate who fits our small family business dynamic.
