With over 130 years of expertise, GE Vernova supports customers in energizing economies and providing essential electricity critical to enhancing health, safety, security, and overall well-being. GE Grid Solutions projects comprise of High Voltage DC (HVDC), Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS), Electrical Balance of Power (EBoP), substations and Microgrid.

What you'll do

Utilizing GE Vernova's extensive resources, interns will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of electrification, gaining exposure to everything about power grids and more. Interns will learn engineering and design processes, industry practices, and GE Vernova products and tools, and contribute to ongoing projects. They will also have the opportunity to see what they have learned in action through field visits and tours of GE Vernova factories. They will also undertake process improvement assignments where they can showcase their teamwork and leadership skills. Throughout this journey, seasoned engineers will supervise and mentor them, providing invaluable guidance. Interns will also get to learn the GE Vernova way and will be given corporate and project management exposure.

What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications)

• Must be currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in Electrical Engineering
• Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding).

Other Eligibility Requirements

• Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to speak English fluently.
• Must be able to travel.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Must be willing to work in geographical area specified by the business
• Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship

The pay for this position ranges from $21.00/hr - $34.00/hr based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed

This position is also eligible for:

• Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
• Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern's permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
• Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling and referral services
• GE Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans. (Eligibility occurs on the 1st of the month following the 90th day.)
