General Surgery Opportunity in Fresno, CA

The selected physician will join a surgery practice inclusive of General Surgery, Colon & Rectal Surgery and Bariatric surgery with opportunities including robotics, endoscopic, and laparoscopic procedures. The practice is a blend between elective and acute care surgery.

The schedule for this full-time opportunity is a traditional work week, Monday - Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours of patient contact time which includes acute care surgery procedures, IP consults, and post-op clinic time. Rotational call requirement is seven days of call per month including at least one weekend.

Requirements for this opportunity include:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
• Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA General Surgery residency program
• Board certification, or board eligible, through the American Board of Surgery (ABS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery (AOBS)
• California medical licensure and granting of privileges at Saint Agnes Medical Center (SAMC)
• Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
• Training and experience in minimally invasive or robotic surgery
• Candidate must have exceptional collaboration and teamwork skills to contribute toward building a cohesive and supportive culture in the operating room and the clinic practice
