You:
We are seeking an individual with business and technology consulting experience who will take a lead in business process design analysis in Global Practice within the Global Solutions organization. You will work closely with Senior Stakeholders to support customers’ business needs and solution requirements. As a Global Practice Process Analyst your efforts will directly impact the value realized by the internal stakeholder external customers and result in the ultimate success of the relationship. To succeed in this role you must have a very curious nature and the passion and energy to work in a startup entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment.
The primary job function is to assess business requirements and make evidence-based recommendations to support process improvements. You will serve as intermediaries between decision makers management teams and IT professionals to keep track of business performance conduct process mapping and identify internal inefficiencies.
Business process analyst job descriptions typically include the following responsibilities.
- Evaluating internal needs internal workflows and business processes
- Overseeing detailed business analysis and process reengineering projects
- Collaborating with business and IT leaders to create new process designs
- Interpreting complex data and business metrics for relevant stakeholders
- Documenting business process modeling activities for future reference
As technology continues to transform you need to understand digital applications and virtual workflows. This need places business process analysts at the intersection of organizational planning and information technology.
To be successful in this role individuals must have experience with business IT and a deep knowledge of process management during tech rollouts. Implementing applications and software often creates new operational challenges that must be accounted for. Business process analysts may be responsible for identifying these barriers and locating process-based solutions that can mitigate unplanned downtime eliminate productivity losses and maximize IT spending.
Other responsibilities and/or activities could include:
- Understand internal Stakeholder goals and outcomes leading them and achieving these using industry best practices.
- Collect and document business requirements for project and process improvement.
- Assist Stakeholders to understand use case processes to support new business process design.
- Guide Stakeholders in the creation and documentation of Apptio dashboards reports and underlying data models to meet functional design and specifications.
- Work closely with other consultants in the organization to leverage skill sets and deliverables.
- Improve the effectiveness of Enterprise Business Management through process standardization and improved consistency.
- Formulate document and obtain the agreement of appropriate process improvements for review by the customer.
- Monitor the adoption and effectiveness of process changes and recommend improvements or changes to action plans accordingly.
- Develop requirements specifications solution options and business cases according to standard templates.
- Facilitate process workflow modelling to collaborate on process improvements automation capabilities and clearly defined end-to-end use cases.
- Collaborate with other departments in the company to achieve customer satisfaction and resolve customer issues in a timely fashion.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Multiple years of experience in a business process or technical analyst/consulting role
- Customer-facing experience in Customer Success or Business Operations
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering Computer Science MIS Finance or equivalent experience
- Ability to demonstrate experience with data analysis and data manipulation.
- Ability to elicit business requirements and understand the importance of business objectives and values.
- Advanced process management redesign and mapping capabilities
- Team player with solid communication and presentation skills
