Global Category Specialist - Adhesives

Create and develop category plans for a specific geographic area, using strategic sourcing methodologies and supplier stakeholder management principles.
Supervise and collaborate with the business to ensure that strategies are successfully implemented to drive category outcomes

About the Role

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in our dynamic global procurement environment?

We're looking for a dedicated Global Category Specialist to join our team, reporting directly to a Global Category Manager. In this role you will manage critical categories with a spend of approximately £30 million, across Adhesives, Tapes & Bailing Wire. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business, to ensure that strategies are successfully implemented to drive category outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include (but not limited):

• Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across the business to drive category outcomes.

• Co-create and implement strategies to ensure successful category management.

• Manage highly critical and complex categories including Adhesives & Tapes.

• Maintain security of supply in challenging market environments.

• Ensure delivery on FY25 targets, safeguarding targeted savings of £1.5 million.

About you

• Proven experience in Procurement, ideally with a focus on category management.

• Strong leadership, influencing and collaboration skills.

• Ability to navigate complex and challenging market environments.

• A strong ability to negotiate pricing in a dynamic market.

• Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving targets.
