Job Description
AECOM is seeking to fill a Global Head of Brand position within our Corporate Marketing team.
The Global Head of Brand will be a strong conceptual and strategic thinker - a guiding force that ensures the brand stays true to our vision, mission, and values. They will be someone who can ideate, direct, and implement leading brand and digital marketing strategies. They'll manage global brand, campaigns, and content across a multitude of channels, ensuring that the AECOM brand remains top of mind with all key stakeholders.
They should be a problem solver, a doer, and a communicator skilled at managing all internal and external stakeholders. Being passionate about brand strategy is key - they'll have a deep knowledge and respect for the creative process with great instincts on what's right for the AECOM brand and what works in each of our key markets and regions.
The Global Head of Brand will have a portfolio full of proven, inspirational ideas which features fully integrated digital and brand campaigns. They should be a self-motivated, strategic leader with experience of empowering, mentoring, and developing high performance, multi-disciplinary teams.
The global head of brand will own and evolve the global brand strategy, they will directly manage in-house creatives, developers, and content experts. As the digital development team sits within the brand team, the applicant must have an understanding and experience of running large digital development projects and an ability to manage stakeholders all different levels across the organization.
The Global Head of Brand will work across the business to drive the brand across the Enterprise, regions, global business lines and functions. In partnership with the CMO they will lead the global brand steering group, the brand working group, as well as working hand in hand with team members from the strategic marketing team and communications. Ultimately their work will bolster the pipeline, attract, and retain talent and contribute to growth.
This will be a remote/virtual position open to a variety of locations in the US or UK.
Key responsibilities:
Key areas of responsibility fall into four main areas, brand strategy, ongoing brand management, creative direction - the visual activation of the AECOM brand and overseeing the development and maintenance of aecom.com, the biggest representation of our brand.
Brand strategy:
- The guardian of the AECOM brand, responsible for all elements of AECOM's brand strategy working in partnership with the brand steering group
- Develop insights (incl. competitor analysis where relevant) to fuel ideation, informing the development of the brand
- Ongoing development of the brand strategy and narrative highlighting AECOM's position as an innovator and authentic global leader in ESG
- Development of innovative ways to experience the AECOM brand using emerging technologies as well as effective traditional methods
- Lead the effort to ensure brand consistency in messaging, voice, and creative across all enterprise activities
- Develop a close partnership with regional and business line teams, creating a virtual brand team that works together to develop ground-breaking campaign activations
- Facilitation of a global brand steering committee, presenting ideation, developing consensus and reporting on campaign progress
- Collaborate with regions, business lines and functions to ensure brand and digital activities are integrated across all touchpoints including paid / owned and earned channels. Ensure a consistent message, whilst ensuring the campaigns local relevance
- Takes brand projects from the kernel of an idea through from planning, execution delivery and finally measurement, working across the business to cohesively deliver campaigns, on time and to budget
- Build credibility across the business by establishing themselves as the go-to brand and digital expert
- Creation, direction and governance of a comprehensive, consistently up to date set of brand tools and assets across all stakeholder touchpoints
- Management of all critical brand assets, including our brand guidelines, online and offline media and tech platforms
- Together with the new head of digital marketing (reports directly into this role) oversight and direction of the global digital marketing strategy including the development of aecom.com
- Ensuring that digital campaigns and brand initiatives align with our brand positioning, marketing strategies and messaging

Minimum requirements:
- Degree / postgraduate in relevant digital marketing or brand qualification plus extensive relevant experience in the management and build of successful corporate websites and digital marketing systems or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- At least 6 years of leadership experience - Team management across varied disciplines such as creative, content and digital
- Expert presentation skills in Keynote and Power Point is fundamental
- In depth knowledge of Salesforce, Pardot for email marketing and Hubspot for lead acquisition
- Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Industry thought leader across brand and digital subjects
- Previous experience of developing brand strategy and visual language implementation across a professional services business is desirable
