Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing, Global Robotics and Digital Technologies, the Global Product Marketing Manager, Robotics and Digital Technologies will play a key leadership role in driving our Robotics portfolio globally with an emphasis on the acquisition and integration of the Brainlab OJR products into our CORI platform. The colleagues will be interacting closely with the marketing and R&D teams within our Pittsburgh and Munich based robotics group. The role will also be responsible for the long term management of the Brainlab relationship following the initial integration period.

This role will require frequent interaction and communication with people at all levels of the business, including executives in our commercial, technical, financial, regulatory and legal functions, as well as executives at Brianlab AG.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead the strategic partnership with Brainlab AG, and integration of Brainlab OJR products into our CORI platform.
  • With assistance from the respective marketing and R&D teams, develop business cases and global growth initiatives.
  • Partner with business, development, and PMO teams to ensure key milestones are met throughout the development projects, including milestones, resources, and budgets.
  • Establish market and product requirements for products, including product positioning, value proposition, business models and pricing.
  • Manage interactions with key opinion leaders, including focus groups, usability studies, cadaver labs, and initial clinical cases related to the products developed under the partnership.
  • In close collaboration with the product, medical education, sales, marketing, regulatory affairs, and clinical teams, establish and continuously improve the syllabus, content, delivery model, and teaching faculty to deliver world class training programs for both internal and external audiences.
  • Understand competitive and emerging technologies and their impact on robotic surgery and the digital OR.
  • Develop global go to market strategies focused on digital, social and market development.

REQUIREMENTS

Travel

  • Approximately 30-50%; international travel will be required as needed

Education

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business or engineering discipline.
  • Masters in related field or MBA preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

  • None required

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of professional commercial and/or marketing experience is required
  • Product management experience within the orthopaedic industry
  • Proven ability to effectively position, message, and negotiate product requirements with the engineering team.
  • Experience in the development of business cases, return on investment and key performance indicators for new products

  • Ability to frame complex or ambiguous business opportunities in a simple, impactful manner for audiences of diverse backgrounds, including senior leaders and non-financial partners.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. This includes the ability to work well in bridging communication between engineering, marketing, sales, and customers.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities.
  • Advanced level proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Intellectual curiosity and self-motivated.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
