Common Trust is on a mission to support the 3 in 5 small businesses that will seek a sale over the next decade to transition into the hands of employees through employee ownership buyouts.

We are looking for a seasoned Go-to-Market Manager to act as the right-hand person to our co-founder at Common Trust. In this pivotal role, you will lead the rapid development, execution, and evaluation of go-to-market strategies and product-market fit experiments. Your mission is to scale our current offerings and develop new ones to reach a broad market of business owners interested in transitioning their companies to employee ownership. You will bridge sales, marketing, and product teams, coordinating efforts to drive revenue growth through strategic planning, sales enablement, customer development, and content management. 

Mission of this Role
  • Work alongside our cofounder in a 2IC capacity in rapidly developing, executing and evaluating go to market strategies and product market fit experiments
  • Help us scale our current offerings and develop new ones to reach the largest possible market of business owners looking to sell their company to employees
  • Drive revenue growth by acting as a cross functional leader, tactician and executor bridging sales, marketing and product team
About the Role and Key Responsibilities

Go to market leadership and execution

  • Coordinate GTM efforts - working across sales, marketing and product
  • Launch planning and execution for new and existing products
  • Rapidly design, build, deploy and evaluate go to market experiments
  • Track and report on go to market and product market fit efforts
  • Co-lead marketing campaign and new channel development with cofounder

Sales Enablement 

  • Co-lead sales enablement, content and funnel development with cofounder
  • Create and implement pricing strategies that align with market positioning and revenue goals

Customer Development

  • Market research and product positioning through data-driven experiments, hands-on customer research, and direct sales work
  • Gather customer insights through direct contact with customers (including customer-development focused sales) and lead integrating insights across marketing, sales and product teams.

Content & Positioning

  • Lead content strategy, managing contractors and developing systems for producing and promoting high quality content
  • Work with leadership on positioning and messaging development

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading execution of digital growth strategies at a similar stage company (early stage / series A)
  • Proven experience working in a remote-first company
  • Demonstrated upward trajectory in previous roles (multiple promotions)
  • Expertise in current digital marketing best practices, including server-side tracking, attribution and running multiple digital channels
  • Experience in B2B industries, marketing and/or selling to business owners
  • Basic coding knowledge and experience
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Excellent project management and communication abilities
  • Ability to learn and adapt to our editorial voice quickly
  • Experience guiding both technical and non-technical decisions
  • Experience with our specific stack of tools including hubspot, zapier, slack, google suite, LLMs

Package:
  • $120,000-130,000 annual salary based on experience
