Slalom Global Google Cloud team is looking to hire Looker experts who have experience with data understanding, analytics and data architecture.

What You'll Do

You will be part of the Google Center of Excellence (CoE), with focus on analytics, BI and related technologies. This role is for someone with architecture skills in BI at enterprise scale in Looker, who is passionate about developing frameworks for analytic solutions to help organizations drive strategic business outcomes, implement BI focused Centers of Excellence, and enable data-driven insights.

You will be responsible for architecture design/review, tuning/performance, and life-cycle management for Looker BI, as well as leading the Looker capability for Slalom from the Center of Excellence within the global Data & Technology practice.

In Google Looker
• Conduct customer workshops to identify requirements and provide architecture design for data analytics projects within Looker.
• Setup Looker Center of Excellence to support global Looker project needs, promote further adoption of the Looker capability at Slalom and train/motivate/hire more Looker consultants
• Apply Data Management using LookML semantic layer within Looker Projects, Models, and Explores
• Integrate data from different data sources
• Review Architecture design patterns for Looker and supporting infrastructure
• Define Application Lifecycle Management for Looker projects
• Setup alerts, workflows and links through Looker
• Emphasize and track delivery of Value on Looker projects
• Conduct code review for LookML, Dashboards, Explores, Models, and Looker custom applications
• Regional travel up to 30%

What You'll Bring
• MS in Data Science or related degree or equivalent work history
• Data Analysis engineering/architecture experience in Google Cloud and other Analytics platforms
• Experience implementing production Looker, Power BI, Tableau or other analytics platforms
• The ability to apply the above to solve business problems using one or more Google Cloud data services in combination with building data pipelines, data streams, and system integration
• Familiarity with analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, Databricks, Looker or other cloud data tools
• Strong client-facing communication skills
• Familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies such as Scrum

Google Looker
• Looker Certifications: LookML Developer, Delivery Verified Partner Consultant, and/or Sales Verified
• Enterprise scale experience in Looker development
• Proficient with LookML, Dashboards, Explores, Models, and experience with Looker custom applications
• Looker Administration experience, including row-level security, permissions, roles, and groups preferred
