Job Description

**Japanese skills and people/team management experience are required.** Art studio seeks a Japanese BilingualDesign Leader. By understanding the head artist's direction, be the brain of the studio’s graphic design and 3D design creation. To manage projects from concept to completion by working closely with a head artist, team members, and third parties involved in the creation/production. Collaborate with creative staff to effectively meet workload and maintain standards of excellence. Salary: up to $75K a year (DOE) Hour: 9am-6pm(1hr break), Exempt Location: Brooklyn (On-site position) Business travel: International and domestic business travels are required. The primary job responsibilities include: • âś“ Undertake design project from concept to completion based on Matsuyama Tomokazu’s art direction. • Take responsibility for developing team members and meeting performance goals.. • Plan and schedule creative design for graphic design based on designers' and the production team’s availabilities. • Supervise overall design planning process and assigned team members to each project. • Bring creative ideas to produce art pieces to bring them to the next level with sophistication. • Support team members to develop their talent by providing guidance and instructions. • Execute graphic design projects with in-depth knowledge of graphic design software and tools. • Manage multiple projects of design creation and maximize the studio’s productivity. • Prepare detailed and sufficient design instructions for painters and provide guidance to painters to complete each painting. • In charge of designing public art production based on Tomokazu Matsuyama’s instructions and collaborating with third parties involved in the project and relevant teams in the organization to complete the project • Provide timely communication to the Management, related parties, and team members to progress projects smoothly. • Demonstrate strong commitments to organizational success and high performance through own behaviors, and lead others by example for maintaining positive and cooperative culture in the workplace while enforcing Company’s Workplace Policies within the team Requirement • Must have an outstanding design portfolio • Illustrator Vector and retouching of Photoshop (photo editing, color adjustment) skills • Experience and knowledge of DTP (Desktop publishing) • InDesign skill (Page layout) • 3+ years of experience in a graphic design role • Communication ability to interpret design briefs and communicate clear direction • Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic • Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment • Ability to display compassion and remain calm in stressful situations • Organizational and problem-solving skills To apply please email your resume [email protected]
