This internship position will begin in April-May 2025.

Eaton's new campus for its critical power systems in Vantaa, Finland, was completed in November 2023. The 16,500 m² site houses research and development, manufacturing, warehousing, sales and service under one roof, which will create plenty of additional jobs.

As one of the world's largest manufacturers of three-phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), Eaton's expansion in this area is driven by strong business growth and the demand for systems that ensure business continuity. Situated in a prime location next to the Helsinki airport, the Vantaa facility will serve as Eaton's Critical Power Solutions headquarters and a center of excellence for data centers.

What you'll do:

As a Hardware Engineer Intern, you will be supporting Eaton's internal R&D Engineering organization with technical requests. Key tasks:

• Support in basic tasks regarding PCBAs for UPS and energy storage products
• Support hardware development for hardware-in-the-loop systems
• Planning tests and testing of power converter systems and subsystems
• Updating documentation
• Supporting continuous process improvement activities within the team

Qualifications:

You are pursuing a major in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field, with at least two years of studies completed. We are looking for a candidate who thrives in an international environment, adapts quickly, and brings a positive attitude to their work. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Fluency in English (basic Finnish skills are a plus)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD tools
  • A problem-solving approach with a customer-oriented mindset
