Vitable Overview

At Vitable Health, our team of engineers, clinicians, and operators are building a delightful and affordable primary care benefit designed specifically for the 80 million Americans who are uninsured or under-insured.

We built Vitable because healthcare is complex and expensive, but everyone needs it.  Our vertically integrated primary care program is delivered through a network of nurse practitioners via virtual or in-home visits. We designed our plan to make high-quality concierge care accessible to everyone.

We're growing quickly and are well-capitalized from world-class investors like YCombinator, Softbank, and First Round Capital along with incredible founders and operators with experience building and funding unicorns like Michael Seibel (YC, Twitch), Immad Akhund (Mercury), Allison Pickens (Gainsight), Jack Altman (Lattice), Dan Folkman (GoPuff) and others. We’re looking for passionate and dedicated team members to join Vitable and help us deliver care to more members! 

The Role

As Head of Design at Vitable, you bring a unique blend of multi-faceted design experience to build and scale our brand identity, while owning all creative execution across all channels, media, and audiences. This role will ensure Vitable’s brand consistency across our core audience of hourly workers, employers, and partners. As part of the Marketing team, you’ll work cross-functionally with product, sales, and ops teams to output various design works ranging from digital brand ads to printed assets.

Responsibilities: 

• Develop a strong and sustaining brand identity
• Oversee the creation and execution of all visual aspects of the brand across all online and offline channels
• Design digital and printed marketing materials such as landing pages, social media assets, and display ads
• Work closely with other teams to ensure brand consistency
• Ensure that all branding elements resonate with the company’s mission and values
• Be a strong advocate for higher design standards while experimenting with new channels
• Source and lead external contractors and agency relationships
• Work with the Engineering team to incorporate brand design language into the product

Qualifications 

• 5+ years of experience leading design initiatives with hands-on ownership across a wide variety of projects from large-scale rebranding projects to graphic design;
• A portfolio of your work that demonstrates design excellence, flexibility, and consistency
• Proven ability to effectively manage internal and external teams. Experience building an awe-inspiring design team is a plus; 
• Successful track record of overseeing the user experience of production-ready products;
• In-depth understanding of both print, paid, social, and traditional media;
• A strong working knowledge of online and offline design, brand development, and the creative process;
• Excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects;
• Focused and clear communicator who values collaboration, transparency, and accountability;
• Proficient with leading design tools (Adobe Creative Suite and Figma is a must);
• BS Degree in a relevant field;
• Experience working with Product and Marketing teams;
• Familiarity working with generative AI models
