Hospitalist for Inpatient Psychiatry

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, serving the culturally diverse community of Western Queens, is seeking a full-time board certified/board eligible medical Hospitalist to join the Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Service. The candidate would work alongside the Inpatient Psychiatrist and treatment team to provide integrated medical care. Medical Nurse Practitioners and Psychiatric Residents under the supervision of the medical hospitalist complete the medical team on our Inpatient Psychiatric Service. In addition, this position works closely with the Department of Medicine in coordinating care for those with acute medical needs unable to be managed in Psychiatry. A strong interest in teaching and supervision is required.

We offer faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Health System based on qualifications. Mount Sinai/Elmhurst offers a collegial environment and competitive salary along with full benefits. Candidates must have a MD degree and be board certified/board eligible in Medicine. This position requires current New York State License, Medicaid number and DEA number.
