Responsibilities

About the role

The Human Resources Information Systems Reporting Analyst 2 will work with business customers in the Human Resources organization to provide data analysis and reporting solutions that effectively monitor HR operations and support strategic decision-making. This position is responsible for querying and reporting on employee records across all HR systems including but not limited to Oracle HRMS, Kronos, SharePoint, and SuccessFactors.

In this role you will:

  • Work with internal Human Resources customers to determine reporting requirements
  • Support HRIS Reporting team in working with IT groups in Corporate Business Systems, Data Warehousing and BI Administration to ensure that source system data is available for HR reporting projects
  • Design and develop list reports, crosstabs, charts, and interactive dashboards using Excel, and Tableau
  • Develop automated data validation reports and processes to ensure HR data integrity is maintained at all times
  • Source and structure HR data to design event-driven and timeline-based reports reflecting the full employee lifecycle (Hire to Retire)
  • Creation and automated Reporting including scheduled delivery and maintenance of existing reports
  • Develop and maintain Scheduled Reporting (SQL Developer) providing report data at schedule intervals to customers until automation can be approved and created
  • ETL development and maintenance within a sandbox environment (Informatica and Toad)
  • Partner with HR business partners and business leaders to analyze and Identify reporting trends and provide data insights to "tell the story"
  • Statistical Analysis of data to provide detailed graphical reports including but not limited to Termination Rate, Average Headcount, Workforce Growth Rate, Retention Rate, etc
  • Liaison between 3rd Party vendors and business customers on data transfer Create Business Requirement documentation to support process
  • Properly document technical reporting processes and diagram data sources explaining system interactions
  • Continually refine, improve, and automate processes, databases, and reports for centralized management and monitoring
  • Communicate effectively with company managers and internal customers in completing reporting requests
  • Highlight potential areas of concern with existing reporting and implement solutions to improve reporting infrastructure, reliability, and data accuracy

Qualifications

  • Relational database theory
  • Data warehouse concept
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and query tools
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of HRIS procedures and techniques
  • Advanced end-user working knowledge of Oracle, Microsoft Office products and Visio
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL (inner/outer joins, case statements and cursors)
  • Advanced reporting knowledge (eg, Excel, Oracle SQL Developer, Oracle Discoverer)
  • Design and distribute reports and metrics with minimal supervision
  • Advanced excel skills (slicers, pivot tables, pivot charts, v-lookups, h-lookups, VBA macros)
  • Ability to gather and analyze reporting requirements
  • Demonstrated strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, constant productivity, creativity and the ability to effectively respond to change

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 2+ years experience in the following:
    • Data analysis and reporting experience in Human Resources, Operations, Sales and Marketing, Finance or Information Technology required required
    • Development and/or maintenance of operational reporting required preferred
    • Building complete reporting solutions from raw data into charts, graphs, upper and lower limit thresholds and variance percentages preferred preferred
    • Using multiple sources of data and loading into a data warehouse preferred preferred
