The Human Resource Generalist is a thought leader driving change in creating a positive team member experience, building leadership capability while aligning HR objectives with business goals. The Human Resource Generalist partners with the HRBP to ensure that the human resource programs support the company’s long-term goals. The Human Resource Generalist position will lead efforts to create a world-class positive experience for our employees and all internal partners involved with the hiring process. In addition to validating new hire information, the Generalist will work to align, research, develop, and execute process improvements for services offered.
Duties and Responsibilities

Work with Operations to develop career paths for key positions

Handles employment-related inquiries from employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Assist with building a strong consultative relationship with field and home office management and becoming a trusted advisor and focused on seizing opportunities and driving strategy.

Ensure inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility are integrated into talent practices at all levels

Work closely with the HRBP to identify business and team members' development needs.

Collaborates with departmental managers to understand the skills and competencies required for succession planning
-
Assist with providing guidance to management and employees on human resources issues, employment law, and develop new programs and initiatives to meet management needs

Assist with generating solutions and implementation with input from more senior HR teammates
-
Assist in the formulation of objectives for personnel policies & procedures and manpower goals
-
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Develop , standardize and administer our onboarding process to create an engaging and consistent experience within each new hire’s first 100 days

Improving our new hire survey strategy to provide ROI on efforts
-
Setting up and guiding new hires through virtual onboarding sessions each day
-
Facilitating the transition from company onboarding to department onboarding
-
Adding touchpoints for managers and new hires to build relationships, align on work, and connect to the business

Monitor new hire turnover and retention rates
-
Gather candidate experience feedback from new hires

Partners closely with leadership to understand and execute the organizations’ human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to, retention, and succession planning.

Work with leadership to monitor the performance of underperforming Team Members
-
Help in the facilitation of the Performance Management Cycle

Partners with HRBP on driving strategic HR initiatives
-
Partners with HRBP on Retention initiatives
-
Partners with HRBP on development, communication, and roll out of programs related to talent development
-
General Understanding of payroll, and bonus structure to help assist in answering any questions from Team Members
-
General understanding of our benefits programs to assist Team Members on questions as well as driving completion of our Open enrollment period

Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in a progressive human resources generalist experience or equivalent combination in a fast-paced environment training, learning, and development, or equivalent experience
-
Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
-
HR Program and Project Management experience
-
A track record of improving processes and increasing productivity
-
Engaging presentation skills
-
A hospitable host who enjoys connecting with people
-
2+ years’ experience leading and developing high-performing teams
-
Experience managing or consulting in a remote environment preferred
-
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.

BS in Human Resources Management or a similar field

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Demonstrated analytical capacity and strong business/financial acumen.

Technically savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including excel.
