How you'll make an impact:

This HR Specialist is an HR Business Partner who broadly supports Global Marketing, Wholesale Domestic & International, and the Skip Hop brand with responsibility for the Photo Studio client group, and broad-based Human Resources programs and initiatives supporting the business.

30% - Talent Acquisition

  • Lead and support efforts to recruit, hire and onboard employees below manager level within area of responsibility; partner with recruiters through all phases of the process and serve as point of contact for candidates to ensure exceptional experience
  • Lead College recruitment and internal search efforts for client group
  • Build talent plan and strategy for EDP program in partnership with HR Manager and take a long-term view to support the business
  • Maintain job jacket completion and consistency
20% - Talent Development

  • Build partnerships with employees at all levels
  • Support hiring managers with on-boarding and orientation for all new hires
  • Identify talent development and coaching opportunities
  • Execute talent development and educational initiatives in coordination with Centers of Excellence partners
20% - Talent Engagement

  • Act as thought partner to HR Manager, leaders and client group leaders on organizational structuring, succession planning, and all talent needs
  • Support, manage and advise to successful resolution any employee concerns (including investigations)
  • Lead/execute chat groups, climate surveys and all other engagement activities
  • Deliver individual coaching to leaders and employees at all levels; advise on development opportunities and potential actions
15% - Various HR Projects/Miscellaneous Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquires regarding policy, procedure, and programs; listen, problem solve and bring others along in the process
  • Partner with employees and HR partners (i.e., Shares Services) to assist in resolution of any issues
  • Coordinate exit process and paperwork
  • Execute personnel related changes and submit necessary paperwork
  • Meeting coordination and scheduling as needed
  • Ensure corporate standards, as well as HR standards, practices, and compliance requirements are met
15% - Cycle of Performance

  • Coordinate the annual and midyear review process, participate in Talent Talks
  • Responsible for working with clients to build impactful, long-term succession plans
  • Coach and partner with managers through performance improvement process
  • Lead reporting and auditing for goal and review process with a high level of accuracy

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Experience identifying and diagnosing issues or opportunities, proposing solutions, and influencing others
  • Previous experience with college relations initiatives
  • Experience with, or exposure to, organizational structuring/organizational design
  • Successful experience thriving in a fast paced, large corporate environment
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Some seasonal travel for college recruitment may be required
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications and HR Systems; ability to prepare written reports, analysis and presentations to senior leadership as required
