HVAC Technician

Veritas QA, LLC is a Veteran owned, Central Texas building inspection, quality control and energy efficiency consulting firm, focusing on residential new construction. We have an immediate need for Energy Rating Field Inspectors or trainees. Preferred candidates will have Residential HVAC experience. Job Duties: - Perform stage (IRC/IECC) building/energy compliance inspections on new construction - Perform Duct Leakage and Air Infiltration testing - Involves lifting up to 30lbs., carrying equipment and using ladders - Serve as a resource to homebuilder and developer clients - Be able to interact with building professionals and trade contractors - Provide training to building professionals Skills/Qualifications: - Prior experience/expertise in the residential construction industry preferred - Residential HVAC experience a plus - Strong knowledge of residential building systems and components - Understanding if current residential energy building codes (IRC/IECC) - Strong time management and organizational skills - Proficiency with computers - Professional written and verbal communication skills - Professional personal appearance - Professional and positive attitude - Clean driving record (No alcohol or drug related violations) We Provide: - Company take-home vehicle and fuel - IPhone & Tablet - Competitive compensation - Employee health insurance - 401K with match - All certification/training/licensing fees - Company apparel Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Professional development assistance • Vision insurance Schedule: • Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
