2025 Internship

Length: 6 months

Summary:

Join the Dolby Vision Content creation team. We are looking for an intern to work on our Dolby Vision creation tools with us. The work will involve implementing a GUI tool in QT and C++ that interfaces to existing image processing libraries to enable HDR video playback, image viewing, comparing, and analyzing on Windows and MacOS. With the possibility of the need to implement image processing algorithms to enable features in the tool. Alternatively, we have software that implements portions of the standard defined by the Academy Color Encoding System. The work could involve the conversion of these algorithms to halide.

Requirements and necessary skills:
  • Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relative field,
  • Skilled in object-orientated software design,
  • Proficiency with GIT version control,
  • Ability to learn on-the-fly,
  • Strong communication skills.
Preferred skills:
  • Proficiency in C++, C, or Java C programming,
  • Experience with graphics and image processing APIs:
    • Halide is preferred,
    • Optionally any experience in OpenGL, DirectX, Vulkan, Metal, or Cuda would be an advantage,
  • Experience with QT would be an advantage
  • Experience with functional programming tools such as:
    • Halide
    • Erlang JavaScript
    • Map Reduce
    • Java streams
