About the Role

Scorpion is looking for the next Sales Development Representative to join our rapidly expanding sales organization. From facilitating initial conversations to developing team-wide best practices, you will be an integral member of our Sales organization. In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating excitement about Scorpion. You’ll get to work alongside an extremely passionate and supportive team, but most importantly you’ll jumpstart your career in an exciting field. What your success will look like

  • This is an onsite role, requiring 5 in-office days a week.
  • Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns and disposition (accept/reject) based on lead research 
  • Achieve or exceed daily activity metrics (50+ calls per day)
  • Create account and contact lists against an Ideal Customer Profile using contact research and acquisition tools
  • Prospect to potential clients through educated cold calls, carefully crafted emails, and other forms of outreach such as social media
  • Utilize prospecting and research tools, coordinate with assigned reps to qualify opportunities; prepare for and book sales meetings with target prospects
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of Scorpion’s products/services and insight of client problems and objectives 
  • Book product demonstration appointments between Scorpion Account Executives and potential clients
  • Manage customer information in the CRM database, ensuring accuracy and completeness

Who you are and what you bring

  • 1+ year of sales or other relevant experience
  • Must have sales ability demonstrated by past experience in a similar role(s)
  • Ability to identify and qualify sales opportunities
  • Effective collaborator; must be able to work well with our team of sellers
  • Positive attitude and a huge amount of grit to succeed in a rewarding role

Compensation

  • We acknowledge that states have passed legislation promoting pay transparency. As a national employer, Scorpion has made the decision to post our expected pay rate or pay range (as applicable) in all our job postings, regardless of geographic location.
  • The base salary is $50,000 (entry-level) - 60,000 (highly experienced). The base salary + annual variable for this position is $65,000 (entry-level) - $85,000 (highly experienced), exclusive of fringe benefits. If you are hired at Scorpion, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the total salary + annual variable range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
