Collins Aerospace has the capabilities, comprehensive portfolio, and expertise to solve customers' toughest challenges and to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving global market.The Inspector V conducts inspections of products (parts, assemblies, raw materials, tooling, instruments, etc.) to validate compliance to design data requirements which include drawings, specifications, and contract requirements at predetermined steps in the manufacturing process using basic inspection methods and tools. Serves as the primary source delegate inspector who inspects and release product to ship to external requirements.External candidates will receive a $3000 sign on bonus.What You Will Do

• Serves as the primary customer source delegate inspector. This includes staying up to date on all customer specific requirements and attending customer training when necessary.
• Must be able to complete SAE AS13001 certification course.
• Assists in the training of other inspection and shop floor staff.
• Inspects a variety of fuel nozzles using measuring/inspection instruments (e.g. micrometers, gauges and calipers) with proper inspection techniques.
• Reads, interprets and utilizes Quality policies, procedures, blueprints and other documentation.
• Performs source, receiving, in-process, & 1st article inspection of manufactured, assembled, and tested hardware and components.
• Operates computer systems to perform inspection tasks (e.g. Via Search, ProductCenter, SAP, labor charging, customer portals, etc.).
• Verifies all work order documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Administers visual and physical inspections of units and subassemblies.
• Completes unit shakedowns (when required) to check for foreign objects, rattles and loose internal hardware.
• Responsible for First Article Inspections and completes related documentation.
• Performs administrative tasks associated with files management.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires HS Diploma or GED and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 8 years of relevant experience is required
• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

Qualifications We Prefer

• Current or previous source delegate approval.
• Experience reading and interpreting customer specifications.
• Experience completing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
• Prior aerospace inspection experience.
• Prior experience with gauging (micrometers, calipers, etc)
