Intern, Editorial - Travel

About You  

You’re interested in travel (but you do not need to be a current world traveler). You learn quickly. You’d be comfortable fact-checking details and working in spreadsheets. You’re organized and curious, with a solid sense of humor. You’re a strong writer. 

You’re looking for a paid summer internship, starting in May, for 10-12 weeks. This internship is full-time, five days a week. You’ll work with us in our Santa Monica office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. You’ll work remote on Wednesdays and Fridays. 

About the Role 

The travel intern will focus on updating goop’s city guides. They will be part of goop’s editorial team and report into our editorial wellness director. The main responsibilities will be: 

• Fact-check listings (for restaurants, hotels, shops, bars, museums, activities, etc.) and update outdated information. 
• Gather internal recommendations and research and write new listings. 
• Keep track of updates made, organize related spreadsheets, and help outline plans for future updates. 

Qualifications & Experience 

• Excellent attention to detail and comfortable getting into the weeds on a project. 
• Can efficiently fact-check details (e.g., a restaurant’s opening hours and location) through online research, email, and phone calls 
• Strong writer and proofreader 
• Proficient in Word and Excel and similar programs 
• Not required but a plus: experience working in Wordpress

• Compensation: $16.10/hour. This a temporary non-exempt position.
