Global Internship Program:

Exciting Opportunity to be part of the Labcorp 2025 Global Internship Program as a Metabolism intern at our Harrogate site.

As a Labcorp intern, you will have the opportunity to support meaningful assignments that compliment an education in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Business and Sales - and are Inspiring and valuable in our mission to improve health and improve lives across the globe. In addition to department work, we support your professional development and career exploration through program workshops, leadership speakers, employee resource group introductions, new hire panel discussions and small group "coffee chats".

About the Team:

• The Metabolism department provides a range of services for clients, providing data to establish the Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism and Excretion of a range of radiolabeled and non-radiolabeled test articles.

Internship Assignment Summary:

• Running routine and bespoke drug metabolism assays, including quantitative whole body autoradiography, necropsy and executing radio analysis on excreta and tissue samples
• Working within cross functional teams to perform sample analysis in accordance with GLP regulatory requirements to deadlines
• Identifying opportunities for improvement in operational processes and lead or contribute to the delivery of these improvements

Education/Qualifications/Skills:

• Working towards undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, Medical Sciences, Animal Sciences, Biology, Chemistry or similar
• Has a willingness to learn and great attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as able to collaborate with various stakeholders and internal/external colleagues
• Embraces diverse ways of thinking through various forms collaboration and partnership
