Internal Communications Specialist

Your role

• Support the delivery of internal and executive communications that connect audiences with our firm's strategy, business goals and culture
• Write articles, talking points, company-wide emails, video scripts, executive briefing documents, and other materials
• Understand complex business issues and translate them into punchy prose
• Work with speed, discretion, creativity and responsiveness to stakeholder needs

Your team

You will be a member of the Strategic Communications team as part of Communications & Branding Americas. We're responsible for developing and executing the internal communications and executive communications strategies for UBS's businesses and brand in the region. Our work helps ensure that our colleagues and other important stakeholders are engaged and motivated to accomplish our shared goals as a company

Your expertise

• ideally 3+ years of experience in internal communications
• a bachelor degree in journalism, marketing, or communications, or equivalent professional work experience with demonstrated success.
• strong interpersonal skills, an ability to work well with individuals at all professional levels, intellectual curiosity, a relentless can-do attitude and a tireless sense of humor (note: this is non-negotiable)
• commercial acumen and familiarity with financial services preferred, along with a growth mindset
• experience with publishing, email and database tools/platforms and metrics, or the capacity to quickly get up to speed

You are
• a skilled writer with impeccable grammar who can adapt communications deliverables based on voice, tone, audience and channel
• passionate about the role of analytics in measuring effective communications strategy
• able to understand technical aspects of products, business issues and strategic priorities to create clear, compelling communications
• someone who can creatively seek solutions and work across teams, businesses and regions
• a well-organized, autonomous self-starter capable of juggling multiple assignments and projects under short deadlines
• detail-oriented, responsible, proactive, committed to success, collaborative, comfortable with change and ambiguity, and generally nice to be around
