Responsibilities:
As an IOL Manager – Surgical Sales you will be supporting surgical facilities, and you will be trusted to oversee the overall IOL portfolio, showcasing expertise in our products’ benefits and differentiating vs. competitive products by providing high technical consultancy in assigned accounts. You will work with Account Managers, Tender and Pricing teams to provide the right customer solutions. In this role, a typical day can include:
-Driving total IOL revenue and market share in the territory
-Accelerating PCIOL (Presbyopia Correcting IOLs) penetration
-Facilitating the Accelerator program in selected accounts
-Managing tender requirements working with internal teams
-Working with Customer Operations on consignment, leveraging MyAlcon360
-Developing new business with customers to achieve sales targets.
-Maintaining and optimizing existing relationships and managing business with existingkey customers.
-Providing feedback on competitor activities in the field via line management.
-Maintaining and upholding an excellent company image.
Competencies:
•Deep knowledge of all IOLs. Ability to detail the full portfolio of IOL products. Ability tocompetitively position Clareon vs. modified/advanced monofocals.

•Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, both technical andinterpersonal. Ability to effectively convey clear, complete, and focused information, and tointeract with all levels of authority, tailoring messages to audiences and listen to other views.
•Customer oriented mindset and strong customer relationship management.
•Flexibility, motivation, self-confidence, resilience, goal orientated mindset with a strong senseof drive.
•Strong logical and analytical skills to solve problems, ability to work independently and beproactive. Strong business decision making, based on data, fairness, and consistency.
•Experience with CRM applications (such as Salesforce) to manage relationships, completeaccount and call planning is desired.
Education:
•Tertiary qualifications in optometry, orthoptics, science or business
Work Experience:
2-3 years of experience in customer facing roles within surgical environment or other industries
Strong understanding of ophthalmic procedures, product technology, and selling to the medical profession
Demonstrable track record developing and executing business plans, goal setting and team building, performance management
Strong desire and ability to learn technical knowledge
Understanding of the MTAA code of practice
