Job Description

 Ibotta is seeking an IT Identity Access Management Engineer to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. The ideal candidate will design, develop, configure, and implement solutions to complex technical and business issues related to identity management, access authentication (authN), authorization (authZ), lifecycle provisioning, and role-based access control. They will also provide end-user support as directed by management, work on multiple highly complex functions, and interface professionally with business stakeholders to identify and recommend functional, technological, and control solutions. They should be able to drive multiple projects simultaneously as part of the Identity and Access Management team and act as a subject matter expert (SME) for one or more IAM, Systems, IDM, or risk management areas.

This position is located in Denver, Colorado or with the option of full-time remote. Candidates must live in the United States.

What you will be doing:

  • Expand the reach and value of Okta by integrating it with critical applications and infrastructure. Constantly seek new opportunities and ideas

  • Develop and maintain various jobs used for lifecycle automation using scripting and configuration languages such as PowerShell, Python, JSON, XML, or similar

  • Develop and administer custom automation for 3rd-party apps using Workflow and Orchestration platforms such as BetterCloud, Okta Workflows, Slack, and MS Flow (scheduled, event-driven, and on-demand)

  • Assist in the design, administration, and monitoring of Directory Services (AzureAD, Okta)

  • Follow lifecycle methodologies, create documentation for design and testing

  • Interact/coordinate with business stakeholders to identify business requirements, design solutions, and guide business process

  • Assist the IAM team and act as an escalation point and mentor

  • Resolve technical issues through investigation, debugging, research, and testing

  • Create and review diagrams, maps, and documentation of interrelated architecture and systems; proactively analyze end-to-end solutions to determine possible failure points, coaching administrators accordingly

  • Guide, train, and mentor peers on the development of custom scripts and application interfaces to enhance existing infrastructure

  • Drive and participate in the collection and documentation of a department knowledge base

  • Assist in service improvement efforts by identifying and leading opportunities for process improvement

What we are looking for:

  • 3+ years of industry experience in the development, customization, configuration, and deployment of Identity Management and Governance products (Okta or SailPoint)

  • 3+ years of demonstrated success building application interfaces with languages such as Java/J2EE, XML, SQL, Rockwell, PostgreSQL, JDBC, ODBC, etc.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics or a related field required

  • High level of comfort using Okta

  • Thorough domain hands-on experience and knowledge of the below areas of IAG

    • User Lifecycle Management, Provisioning, and Reconciliation

    • Auditing, Reporting, and user activity monitoring

    • Access Certification

    • Cloud Security

  • Expert experience and knowledge of Web Services and APIs for data integration and lifecycle provisioning, including REST, SOAP, and SCIM

  • Knowledge of popular Enterprise Systems such as Workday, M365, Attlassian, NetSuite, ServiceNow, etc.

  • Knowledge of security/authorization models and grants of popular enterprise and SaaS applications (SAML, OAuth, OIDC)

  • Strong technical presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, high-pressure environment

  • Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and maintain a positive attitude

Additional Details:

  • This position is located in Denver, CO or with the option of full-time remote and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, 401k match, and equity.

  • Base compensation range: $67,745.00-$87,650.00. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
