Job Title: IT Senior Manager

(This position is Hybrid working 2 days a week in the Denton Texas Support Center)

Essential Function

We are looking for an experienced IT Senior Manager - Data Warehouse to oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of Enterprise data warehouse system & lead efforts for data strategy and governance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of professionals, ensuring the efficient functioning of the data infrastructure, and leveraging data to drive strategic business decisions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• BS/BBA in Computer Science, MIS or similar field or equivalent work experience.
• Proven working experience as an IT manager; in depth knowledge of data management & warehousing concepts, methodologies and technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Primary Duties

25% Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the data warehouse, aligning with organizational goals and objectives. Lead the implementation of best practices in data management and analytics. Design and maintain the architecture of the data warehouse, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance data management capabilities. Implement data quality standards and governance frameworks to ensure the integrity and reliability of data. Establish processes for data cleansing, validation, and enrichment.

25% Supervise a team of solution architects, analysts, and administrators, providing guidance, mentorship, and support. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment with a strong focus on development and succession planning.

20% Oversee the integration of data from multiple sources into the warehouse, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and workflows. Monitor and optimize the performance of the data warehouse, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Implement strategies for improving query performance and data retrieval.

Coordinate with PMO to modify procedures as needed to maximize effectiveness and controls.

15% Oversee, control and evaluate operations of assigned applications systems, following policies and practices as defined for system access, testing, change management, and advancement to production. Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

10% Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring timely delivery of products and services. Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts as needed. Contribute to creating the annual department budget and ensure cost effectiveness of all assigned activities.

5% Other Duties as assigned.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
