IT Systems Engineer (Hybrid/Remote) - Washington, DC

About the Job

Caribou is looking for an experienced IT Systems Engineer to manage our internal tools, systems, and networks.  You will be responsible for global permissions on all SaaS tools; ensure permissions and data are securely managed; design and maintain our internal systems; and create the framework for Hardware provisioning.  This will mostly be backend work, but will also touch Helpdesk and end users through technical support, ticket escalations, and on-call.

This role is hybrid (remote/office) at our downtown Washington, DC office.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

• Install and configure software and hardware
• Manage network and SaaS tools
• Set up new hire accounts and workstations
• Troubleshoot Tier 2 issues and outages
• Asset Management
• Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
• Researching and recommending new approaches as it relates to automation, asset management and Identity management to improve company technology
• Participate in the on-call rotation to provide after-hours and weekend support for critical IT issues.

About You

You most likely identify with many of these qualities:

• 3+ Years in Helpdesk/IT Support role
• 1+ years experience as a Systems Administrator, Engineer or equivalent
• Experience in supporting Google Workspace
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
• Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
• Familiar with setting up and maintaining automations
• Understanding of Single Sign on methods and configuration
• Knowledge of MDM configuration and best practices
• Proven ability to troubleshoot enterprise level network issues
• Asset management experience

• Base salary of $60,000 - $95,000 annually
