Summary
Lincoln Electric is seeking an IT Technical Specialist to join our On-site Support team. The IT Technical Specialist is a tier 2 position that requires a multifaceted skill set encompassing computer troubleshooting, system support, and a deep understanding of both hardware and software components. As a IT Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive IT support within an office/plant environment, catering to desktops, laptops, remote devices, peripherals, custom plant software, perfrom computer repairs and enterprise system support. Our supported user base spans the Cleveland area and extends to remote offices across the U.S. and Canada. This role primarily provides support for our shop floor / plant operation.

What You Will Do:
- Support end-user desktops, laptops, phones, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals, including hardware and software troubleshooting and break/fix services.
- Independently install, maintain, test, and repair systems and networks, responding to incidents and service requests either in person, by telephone, or through remote access.
- Provide timely resolution of incidents or escalations, owning and tracking issues through to resolution with moderate guidance.
- Analyze and resolve comprehensive and complex technical problems, leveraging guidelines, policies, and a knowledge base.
- Maintain up-to-date statistics in the ticketing system, escalating issues to appropriate teams when necessary.
- Assist Desktop Engineers and IT Security in following guidelines such as OS updates, log collection, and reviewing software clients with issues.
- Recommend hardware and software solutions, including new product acquisitions and upgrades. Conduct training programs for organizations end users.
- Image/deploy all computer types, printers, mobile devices, RF Guns, iGel, and other Shop Floor devices.
- Working knowledge of new AV equipment being deployed at all facilities.
- Create knowledge base documentation to aid the IT Service Desk in resolving common issues.
- Ensure compliance with security, safety, and environmental regulations and policies within the work area.
- Resolve technical issues and challenges quickly and effectively.
- Have a proactive approach with excellent follow-up and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and follow through with assignments.
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or 0-3+ years of technician-level experience in mission critical environment.
- 0-3+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Desktop/Laptops, Apple technologies and devices, and network connectivity.
- Proficient with Office 365, including advanced troubleshooting.
- Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Risk Management Guidelines.
- Familiarity with ITIL and ITSM processes preferred.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems preferred.
