Aerospace is a geographically dispersed company which relies on its information technology (IT) systems as the communication, computational and collaboration enabler for its staff. In this role of Network Engineer, you will continue linking our people together to help our company continue to accomplish mission success.
Work Model
This position is 100% onsite located in Chantilly, VA.
What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and/or support major network and network security projects to support new initiatives, capacity, life-cycle management, upgrades, new products and/or features, and integration in unclassified environments
  • Work in an all Cisco technology-based network that includes Cisco Catalyst switches, Nexus data center switches, ASA/Firepower firewalls, web proxies and network authentication
  • Provide technical leadership for core networking and network security
  • Create and maintain documentation for network using Netbrain or Microsoft Visio
  • Optimize stability, availability, reliability and performance of network and network services
  • Coordinates and communicates ongoing tasks with other teams for infrastructure updates, and customer notifications.
  • Interfaces with user community to understand needs and designs and implements solutions to accommodate them
  • Collaborates with other infrastructure teams in the architecture governance process. Provides technical guidance to project team areas as appropriate
  • Tracks industry trends, conducts research, and maintains knowledge of new technologies to provide the organization with optimal solutions


What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field with 10 years of professional experience
  • Experience working with Cisco Nexus data center switches, fabric interconnects, and UCS servers
  • Experience working with Cisco ACS, ISE and RSA SecurID
  • Experience with configuration & management of DNS/DHCP enterprise services
  • CompTIA Security + CE (SY0-601 or SY0-701)
  • This position requires a TS/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance

  • TS/SCI Clearance w/Poly
  • Cisco ACI, SDN or SDA Experience
  • Cisco Certification Desired, CCNP or CCIE
  • Experience with Infoblox IPAM
  • Experience with Micro Focus Network Automation
  • Experience with Citrix Netscalers
  • Experience with Cisco Umbrella
