JOB SUMMARY: Physically perform janitorial tasks, including cleaning/stocking restrooms, emptying trash on property and offices, and working in all weather conditions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Performs routine janitorial maintenance as specified by Supervisor including cleaning/stocking restrooms, emptying trash cans, cleaning offices, monitoring property for trash on ground, etc. • Assist with dispensing supplies. Deliver supplies to sites across the Garden. Log all supplies dispensed to assist with accurate inventory. • Identify and report any problems with facilities as needed (i.e. leaks, broken items, maintenance issues, etc.) • Safely operate and be responsible for minor maintenance of janitorial equipment used; assure equipment is secured at the end of each day and ready for use the following day. Notify supervisor of any supply needs. • Monitor equipment and report repair needs as appropriate. • Meet janitorial project completion schedules on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. • Assist in group and special projects as required. This could include power washing carpet cleaning, general equipment repairs (replacing scrubber pads, cleaning vacuums, changing filters and belts, ect.) EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: • High school diploma or equivalent. • 1-3 years janitorial experience preferred. • Knowledge of standard cleaning techniques and chemical usage a plus. • Professional communication skills. • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs; repetitively bend/stoop, move across property and work in all weather conditions. • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. • Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical examination.
