Java Developer

Job Summary:

Skills Required: • Ability to work with both a team and independently• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills• Contribute to process improvement initiatives that support the company objectives

Technical Skills Required:

• Proficient in Java programming• Proficient in SQL with familiarity in PL/SQL and RICE development a plus• Understanding of software design patterns, functional programming, and object-oriented programming• Performs data analysis, validations and solving production issues• Experience with web-based solution design• Review, document, and support new Air Force requirements• Knowledge of SCRUM / Agile• Ability to provide technical input to agile teams

Minimum Level of Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

*Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance or currently hold an active Secret clearance*

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Dine Source is seeking a Java Developer to join our team in the sustainment and maintenance of an Air Force application.

Our ideal candidate will bring knowledge of hands-on development, problem solving skills and experience delivering solutions to end users. Additionally, strong communication skills are needed to work with experienced technical teams and in-turn communicate with non-technical employees and customers.

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

Primarily responsible for the support and, if necessary, the development of new custom solutions.

Tasks will include, but are not limited to:• Translates detailed design into computer software.• Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and refines the computer software to produce the required product.• Provides ongoing boarding and testing support to the application teams as new requirements are introduced.• Assist with the development of infrastructures and architectures for system environments.• Provide maintenance and enhancement support for the application interfaces and data sources.
