Essential Functions • Design, develop, and test embedded software and hardware systems. • Enable the integration of software and hardware components and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology solutions for beverage dispensing products. • Design and develop embedded systems, including firmware, device drivers and hardware interfaces to meet project requirements. • Write efficient and robust code for microcontrollers, processors, and other embedded devices using programming languages such as C/C++. • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of embedded systems to identify and resolve software and hardware issues and optimize system performance, memory usage, and power consumption for resource-constrained devices. • Develop and maintain documentation for design specifications, test plans, and user manuals. • Work with cross-functional teams, including product managers, software engineers and electrical engineers to define system architecture, select components, optimize system performance, and ensure seamless integration of embedded systems into larger systems and products for beverage dispensing products. • Conduct preliminary analysis, simulations, and testing to validate designs. • Prepare and present preliminary technical reports and documentation. • Troubleshoot and resolve simple firmware issues during design and manufacturing. • Adhere to industry best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes to deliver high-quality and reliable embedded systems. Education & Experience • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering and one (1) year of experience as Software Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Firmware Engineer, or Embedded Software Development Engineer • The one (1) year of experience must have included firmware development on embedded microcontrollers, embedded systems architecture and development, hardware integration and the use of real-time operating systems, and microcontrollers/ microprocessors. The employer will also accept a Master's degree in one of the above-named fields.
