About the role

Robin AI is looking for early career applied scientists to join our team in developing groundbreaking legal technology products. You will work at the exciting intersection of law and technology, collaborating with lawyers, machine learning (ML) engineers, AI researchers, and product managers in order to help design, build and evaluate industry-leading legal AI products.

We are looking for someone with a keen interest in legal AI, that wants to apply their strong ML background to solve legal problems that directly impact our customers and push the technical frontiers in legal AI.

What You’ll do

• Work on novel LLM-based systems for our products
• Run thorough experiments and analyses to assess the performance of our approaches
• Train/fine-tune models to improve the performance on our tasks
• Collaborate with product teams to rapidly prototype and deliver innovative solutions
• Contribute to our public releases (OS code, conference papers, etc.)
• Be aware of and communicate the latest developments in AI

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive programming experience in Python and another language
• Experience with ML specific software such as PyTorch, LangChain etc.
• Strong background in machine learning, with a focus on NLP
• Proven experience utilising LLMs (OAI, Anthropic, Mistral etc.) and/or SLMs (Llama, Phi etc.)
• (preferred) Strong publication record in A* ML conferences and workshops
• (preferred) Experience productising research in a public facing product

Compensation at Robin AI

• Salary: £50k - £80k
