Job Description

Role Summary

The EDM data analyst will be responsible for the governance, integration, alignment, availability, standards and quality of key data in the corporate data lake. The Enterprise Data Management team supports major complex programmes and projects to drive the integration of significant critical data across all major enterprise systems, working closely with Global Finance Digital Intelligence, Global Sales Operations, Global Corporate Systems & Services (GCSS) and other cross-functional teams, as needed, to identify, define, align & integrate new data sources and capabilities, manage security and availability and maintain data governance, quality, standards critical to successful delivery of Global Business Intelligence requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal stakeholders on their data needs and data related requests. Work with the businesses and document their requirements and translate to a technical verbiage for IT to implement.
  • Own the documentation and sign off of business requirements to ingest and curate data in the data lake
  • Ensure that data in data lake is accurate and trustworthy – ensure processes, validation and automation is in place
  • Establishes, documents, and monitors clear data governance and data standards to ensure the standardization, integrity, and quality of the data contained therein. Reviews and updates all data standards periodically as needed. Improves new material to supports the development flow of the projects and supports the team documentation.
  • Establishes metrics/KPIs to monitor data quality and usage and proactively initiates actions to permanently resolve any identified issues.
  • Expertise and guidance in the appropriate and optimal way to integrate the necessary data sources to achieve the desired business requirements.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, computer scienceĀ or similar
  • Between 1-2 years of business experience involving analysis of large volumes of data with strong hands-on experience. Ability to gather, analyze, restructure, identify and articulate insights from qualitative and quantitative data
  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration and influencing skills in highly matrixed environment, with a mission of creating consistent processes and documentation
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication as well as the ability to work independently. Experience communicating technical complexities clearly and concisely.

The EDM team power fact-based decision making by providing data curated datasets in the data lake to continuously improve our business. The data analyst will play a key role in defining, creating, and delivering powerful interactions data for a substantial part of our business and will partner closely with multiple business partners to provide data and insights to drive operational improvements. This is a critical role that will enable and support our global data and business intelligence strategy.
