Junior Data Engineer Intern

As an intern, you will contribute to preparing and structuring large, real-world multimodal datasets within SOPHiA GENETICS Data Hub. These datasets will be crucial for advanced statistical analysis and multimodal modeling in oncology research, helping to drive impactful clinical insights. 

You will be involved in: 

• Preparing and harmonising multicentric oncology cohorts, ensuring data consistency for research use. 

• Selecting key variables and perform basic statistical exploration of datasets. 

• Structuring and integrating multimodal data (clinical and imaging) into SOPHiA GENETICS Data Hub for advanced analysis. 

• Collaboration with various teams to ensure the smooth flow and availability of harmonized datasets for research. 

The experience you bring: 

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Engineering or a related field. 

• Basic knowledge of Biostatistics. 

• Proficiency in Python. 

• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. 

• Ability to manage priorities effectively. 

• A team player who collaborates well with others, while also able to work independently when necessary.

What you will learn: 

• Gain hands-on experience in structuring and preparing large real-world datasets in oncology. 

• Learn how to apply data mining, data cleaning, basic statistics techniques on longitudinal clinical data. 

• Develop an understanding of how data engineering supports advanced statistical and clinical analysis. 

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic, innovative environment.

Contract type: 6-month internship
