Junior Full Stack Developer

FocusKPI is looking for a Junior Full-Stack Developer to work for our company’s internal projects.
The Junior Full Stack Developer position is crucial for the development of both the front-end and back-end aspects of our AI web application. You'll collaborate with UI/UX designers, senior developers, and data scientists, contributing to the evolution and refinement of our platform. This role is pivotal in integrating AI functionalities with user-friendly interfaces, enhancing the user experience and scalability across our SaaS platform.
Duration: Full-time position
Work Location: Remote in the U.S., preferred EST timezone
Pay range: $5000+/mo.
Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable and secure code for web applications, balancing work between front-end development using React.js and back-end development, preferably with Python.
• Assist in transforming design concepts into functional and interactive web components in collaboration with UI/UX designers.
• Interact with data scientists to comprehend AI model capabilities and data requirements, ensuring the application adequately supports these functionalities.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of APIs for efficient data exchange between the front-end and back-end, focusing on integration and data management.
• Participate in Agile development processes, contributing to the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline to guarantee the delivery of high-quality software.
• Stay current with technological trends, adopting best practices in coding, security, and design to continually enhance the application's performance and user experience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Solid proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and React.js, with an eagerness to develop back-end skills, especially in Python.
• A foundational understanding of RESTful API integration and a keen interest in back-end development.
• Strong problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git and GitHub.
• Knowledge of web performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Effective communication skills to work closely with cross-functional teams to fulfill project requirements.

Preferred Skills:

• 1-2 years of experience or a pronounced interest in further developing skills in FastAPI and working with Material-UI (MUI).
• An understanding of Agile methodologies and some experience with the CI/CD process.
• Awareness of cloud platforms and deployment strategies is desirable.
• Prior experience or willingness to learn how to collaborate with data scientists to understand model capabilities and data requirements.
