Overview
The Jr Operations Analyst will be responsible for supporting daily Fulfillment Operations, Process Improvement Initiatives, and ad-hoc projects. The analyst will support multiple Fulfillment Centers (FC) and is a key liaison between FC management/personnel and technical teams to analyze and evaluate system functionality and processes to meet business needs. The analyst will test and implement new functionality and enhancements of existing applications and facilities based on specific business needs. The position will be measured by its effective use of technology and process development to assist in reducing costs, increasing accuracy, improving throughput, and reducing the cycle time to deliver products to our customers.
Responsibilities:
Support Fulfillment Center Operations in Driving Increased Efficiencies:
- Partner with FC Operations to identify and scope process and facility changes that support business objectives.
- Identify, analyze and test system configuration and changes to support new processes, close process gaps and implement process improvements.
- Identify opportunities to optimize storage and processing capacity (layout, process flow, order fulfillment and material handling equipment).
- Coordinate facility, process and/or system changes with the FC, IT, vendors, and other departments.
- Assist with the rollout of all WMS related system releases.
Support Daily Fulfillment Center Operations with Training, Reporting, and System Support:
- Work with Operations and Development teams to implement and support applications and solutions.
- Troubleshoot system and process issues, find their root cause, and any necessary corrective actions to resolve them permanently.
- Create and maintain clearly written SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) and support FC training programs; providing training when needed.
- Develop, improve, and update current operations analytics, supporting metrics, dashboards, and KPIs for FC operations and ad-hoc project needs.
Other Functions:
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years' experience as an Analyst, Industrial Engineer, or Operations Supervisor/Manager in a fulfillment or distribution center.
- Experience in supply chain management, warehousing, and fulfillment.
- Advanced experience with Excel such as complex formulas, pivot tables, vlookups etc.
- Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences and deliver training.
- Comfortable working under deadlines and with senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in employee interaction and change management.
- Experience in writing SQL based queries to analyze data, create reporting/dashboards, and troubleshoot system issues.
- Super User expertise with Warehouse Management Systems, Warehouse Control Systems, Pick-to-light, and other supply chain execution systems.
- Experience with Facility Layout, Racking Profiles, and new site startup.
- Experience using Power BI is a plus
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of intellectual instruction and work experience.
