Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our culinary operations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for food, ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role is essential in delivering exceptional dining experiences in our casual dining establishment. Duties • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure optimal performance. • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. • Manage inventory control, ensuring that all ingredients are stocked and stored properly. • Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. • Collaborate with the management team to develop seasonal menus and special catering events. • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety standards. • Monitor food costs and waste, implementing strategies to minimize expenses while maximizing quality. • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and creativity among staff. Experience • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or in a similar role within casual dining or hotel settings. • Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines. • Experience in inventory control and food handling practices. • Previous experience supervising kitchen staff, including assistant managers or team leads. • Familiarity with catering operations is a plus, particularly in coffee service or event planning. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead by example in a busy kitchen environment.
