KYC Advisory Compliance Analyst

As a Compliance Analyst at Convera based in our Peterborough office, you will help promote a sound Compliance culture across the organization through ensuring that there is an effective AML programme that effectively mitigates the risk of onboarding customers which are outside of Convera’ risk appetite.

You will be responsible for:

• Analyse KYC information for customers at onboarding and reaccreditation which require a Compliance investigation.
• Utilise strong investigative skills to assess the risk of the customer and provide a Compliance recommendation in respect of the business relationship.
• Investigate and decision potential PEP matches.
• Provide advisory and feedback to the KYC Operations teams.
• Monitor and test key KYC controls.
• Track and implement regulatory change for KYC requirements.
• Support internal / external audits and regulatory inspections.
• Develop and deliver online and ad hoc face to face training for the KYC Operations team.

You should apply if you have:

• Minimum 2 years relative work or equivalent work experience in Financial Crime Compliance with bachelors degree
• Advanced knowledge of the global Financial Crime Compliance regulatory expectations and best practices for KYC activities
• Advanced knowledge of onboarding corporate structures, including experience reviewing KYC on different entity types such as Private Companies, Trusts and Funds
• An ability to resolve and advise on complex issues where analysis requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• An ability to direct the application of existing principles and guides development of new policies and ideas.
• An ability to work independently with no supervision and also a willingness to work collaboratively
• Fluent written and spoken English
