Overview
Mastercard is looking for a talented Labs R&D - Lead Engineer - UI and UX to join the Mastercard Foundry Research and Development team in our Pune office. In this role you will be part of a highly agile team building exiting and innovative products delivered at scale to global markets.
Our team is built on a foundation of research and development, mining innovation internally, innovating new product lines with emerging technology, managing new products from inception to market validation and engaging strategically with start-ups to shape the future of commerce with and for our customers. At Mastercard you will help define the future of commerce globally.
This team will have a diverse focus both in terms of geography and variety of technology challenges driving hard to bring innovative payment solutions to market.

Role
This role involves working with a team of talented developers to develop high performance AI based software solutions.
• Responsible for the analysis, design, and development of software solutions involving AI based features
• Design of Proof-of-Concepts and Minimum Viable Data Products (MVPs) using human-centric design principles and rapid prototyping (Lean UX and Design Thinking)
• Participate in "Design Thinking" workshops - collaborating cross-functionally with industry verticals, regional leads and end-users to ensure optimal digital data products
• Work on future state conceptual designs, driving experimentation that improves the quality of product design overall.
• Participate in active software development to bring the designs to fruition, including developing in html, CSS, JavaScript
• Develop and maintain web applications using React/Angular and related technologies
• Develop engaging PowerPoint Presentations, Figma Designs and Videos for Product concepts, reporting and demos
• Work with cross functional teams spread across geographies on new product innovation and R&D initiatives

Skills
• Experience developing User Personas and user journeys to inform product design decisions
• Experience in rapid prototyping (Lean UX and Design Thinking)
• Experience in the implementation of creative, useable and compelling visual mock-ups and prototypes
• Experience of design-experiences across multiple media
• Experience using prototyping/wireframing tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Experience Design, Adobe Illustrator etc.
• Experience creating engaging PowerPoint Presentations, Figma Designs and Videos for Product concepts, reporting and demos
• An understanding of complex information architectures for digital applications
• Minimum 7 Year's experience working on UI projects using HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experiencing developing UI screens which consumes Rest APIs. Good understanding of API calls and parsing the results returned by API's
• Good working experience working with frameworks like React and Angular
• Strong understanding of Web Programming
• Good knowledge of Jira, Git, Jenkins
• Development experience using Agile
• Expertise in coding using core JavaScript
• Writing Unit and Integration test cases
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Hand's on experience with performance improvements while loading a web page and calling API's
• Must have intermediate experience with UNIX/Linux
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure
• Experience with SQL and No-SQL databases
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices using Java good to have
• Knowledge of Spring Boot, Hibernate good to have
• Knowledge Azure Devops good to have
• Experience in full-stack development with Java good to have
• Experience designing scalable software architectures good to have
• Exposure developing software applications involving AI based features is good to have
• Knowledge of Python and related Data Science ecosystem for architecting software applications is a plus (no machine learning knowledge required)
