Job Description
Lead AEM Engineer (Carrollton, TX)
Design, build, and maintain best-in-class web experiences, leveraging Digital Web Content Management principles and adhering to Adobe Experience Manager Platform best practices. Duties include:
1. Guide projects that develop and support Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Content Management System application-based web properties across the organization;
2. Drive continuous improvements in software development productivity and architecture; prepare technical standards;
3. Develop custom scalable AEM Components, OSGI services, Sling Models, and Sling Servlets using web development technologies, including Java, Apache Sling, JCR, HTML, HTL, CSS, XML, JSON, and JavaScript;
4. Integrate AEM with external third-party services, including Chatbot, Oracle Eloqua, VLT RCP, and Coveo search tools;
5. Integrate web components into AEM, in collaboration with the design system and UI teams;
6. Research emerging technologies to improve current applications, designs, and processes as well as mentor team members on the same;
7. Guide team members to troubleshoot and fix AEM bug issues with department users and administrators to enhance end-user experience;
8. Define the roadmap for software products and processes: Act as point of contact to resolve stakeholder issues, and coordinate relationships with contractors and vendors for software applications;
9. Document technical information and details of AEM application integrations
10. Guide junior team members; plan technical approaches and solutions to design software and employ strong coding standards for efficiency, readability, and reuse.
May telecommute part of the week from commuting distance to Carrollton, TX in accordance with the company's flexible working policy.
Position Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or any Engineering field followed by 5 years of post-baccalaureate experience in a software engineering quality assurance-related occupation.
Experience must include the following, which may have been gained concurrently:
1) 5 years of experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM Sites 6. or higher versions);
2) 5 years of experience with web development technologies, including Java, HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS;
3) 5 years of experience with HTMLs, sling, and Java OSGI Services;
4) 5 years of experience developing AEM Experience Fragments and variations for different components using editable templates to pull personalized content;
5) 5 years of experience with software development concepts, methodology, and life-cycle, including Agile methodology;
6) 1 year of experience guiding a team of developers.
